    Goal

    Based on the intersection of architecture and many related disciplines in the new century, Future Human Habitats focuses on the cutting-edge problems of human settlement in the future, with design thinking as the core, for smarter and more sustainable built environment.

    Research Areas

    Major support will be given to the 1+3 research structure, which includes one research center, Global Innovation Center on Design Thinking for Future Human Habitats, and three research fields: Future Urban Science and Supporting Technology System, Digital Architecture and Intelligent Construction, and Innovation Center for Humanity Technology of Future Human Habitats.

      The Global Innovation Center on Design Thinking for Future Human Habitats will face design thinking theories of future human habitats, and respond to transformation and development needs of global architecture and engineering fields. Using design research as a tool, the center will carry out experimental, prototype and exemplary research, develop design research theories and key tools, and explore the intersection of technology and humanistic thinking in its research.       The Innovation Center for Humanity Technology of Future Human Habitats aims at the relationship and innovation between the future development of human habitat technology and changes in user terminals, and is oriented to human cognitive experience, content transmission, meaning shaping and changes in the way people interact with the environment. It will carry out design innovation based on humanistic research, and explore design integration innovation between cognitive science, information scienc
