Mentor-ship

Considering the development of the faculty of Tsinghua Shenzhen International Graduate School, how to provide necessary and effective career development support for young faculty, assist young faculty to better complete the transition and promotion from quasi-employment positions to permanent employment positions, and consolidate talent training to the system level while rapidly introducing talents is an important topic for faculty of Tsinghua Shenzhen International Graduate School. On the other hand, in order to actively explore the talent incentive mechanism, encourage faculty to pursue excellence, accelerate the construction of the college's young faculty talent echelon, help young faculty adapt to the working environment and develop professional abilities, improve the faculty development channel, and build a high-quality faculty development system, It is of great significance and necessity to investigate and establish the system of young faculty development advisory group suitable for the characteristics of our school.

 

Our school plans to arrange professional development mentors (hereinafter referred to as mentors) for young faculty to help them gradually adapt to tenure-track faculty with equal emphasis on teaching and research, and become future teaching masters and academic leaders. To provide stable support for young  faculty in terms of salary and other aspects, and create a good employment environment. Therefore, this study will conduct a preliminary discussion and exploration on career development.
