Research Interests
Dr. Zhang's research primarily focuses on Micro/Nano Electro Mechanical Systems (MEMS/NEMS). Long-term research aims to investigate the fundamental electrical and mechanical properties of new materials for MEMS/NEMS and low-cost micro/nanomanufacturing approaches. Present research efforts are non-silicon micro-fabrication processes and flexible tactile sensors for the application of robotic smart hand.
