On March 13, Tsinghua Shenzhen International Graduate School (Tsinghua SIGS) held the Shuimu Plan Young Faculty Dialogue and Exchange event with The Chinese University of Hong Kong, Shenzhen (CUHK-Shenzhen). Over 20 young faculty members and administrative representatives participated.

During the meeting, Party Secretary of CUHK-Shenzhen Li Xuejin and Party Secretary of Tsinghua SIGS Liu Huiqin introduced each side’s general background, disciplinary advantages, and educational characteristics. They both agreed that Tsinghua SIGS and CUHK-Shenzhen should further strengthen cooperation, provide intellectual support and talents for the construction of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area, and contribute to the country's technological innovation and development together.

During the exchange session, young faculty members from both universities shared their research interests, academic achievements, and collaborative research projects, and engaged in enthusiastic discussions on cutting-edge topics of mutual interest. The participants expressed that this exchange had deepened mutual understanding, broadened academic horizons, and inspired ideas for future collaborative research.

Meanwhile, the Tsinghua SIGS delegation also visited the library, colleges, and Nobel Laureate Lab (Kobilka Institute of Innovative Drug Discovery) of CUHK-Shenzhen. Teachers from both sides had in-depth discussions on research facility construction and experimental platform development, laying the foundation for future collaboration in sharing research resources and building experimental platforms.
The Shuimu Plan dialogue and exchange activity not only promoted the collaboration and coordinated development between universities in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area but also strengthened the friendship between Tsinghua SIGS and CUHK-Shenzhen. It provided valuable academic exchange opportunities for young faculty members. In the future, the two sides will take this event as a starting point to deepen cooperation, jointly promote academic progress and technological innovation, and contribute to the cultivation of high-level scientific talent and social progress.
