Recently, Tsinghua University announced its 2024 "Excellent Courses of Tsinghua University (Graduate Student)" List, with six courses from Tsinghua Shenzhen International Graduate School (Tsinghua SIGS) receiving this honor. This year, three new courses were recognized as excellent: "Digital Signal Processing" (Instructor: Qian Xiang), which integrates theoretical and practical methods with applications in fields such as instrumentation science, intelligent manufacturing, and biomedical engineering, and designs various programming experiments to illustrate the theory; "Health Psychology" (Instructor: Ni Shiguang), which focuses on the intersection of health psychology and information technology, employing interactive teaching methods such as case discussions and behavioral experiments supported by virtual reality and robotic technology; "Medicare Insurance" (Instructor: Yang Yansui), rooted in health economics and public choice theory, systematically explores the principles of medical insurance, healthcare policy development in China, and the impact of insurance reforms on medical practices and institutions.
Additionally, three courses successfully passed the re-evaluation of "Excellent Courses of Tsinghua University": "Practice and Case Study of Integrated Solid Waste Management" (Instructor: Li Huan), which adopts a structure based on technological commonalities to help students understand the core logic of various treatment technologies through case studies, practical training and experimental sessions; "Modeling and Analysis of Warehousing Systems" (Instructor: Yang Peng), emphasizes quantitative modeling and its applications to equip students with the ability to analyze and solve complex warehousing system challenges; and "Convex Optimization" (Instructor: Jin Xin), a foundational course that dives deep in the convex optimization theories and models, combining theoretical teaching with the latest research to inspire students and cultivate their innovative abilities.
Since 2020, Tsinghua SIGS has had 18 courses recognized as "Excellent Courses of Tsinghua University (Graduate Student)".
