On New Year's Day 2025, we express our sincerest wishes and deepest gratitude to all the students, colleagues, and friends who have consistently supported and cared for the development of Tsinghua Shenzhen International Graduate School (Tsinghua SIGS).
Last year witnessed a significant milestone in the history of Tsinghua Shenzhen International Graduate School. We actively responded to the nation's call for innovation-driven development and set new goals to make crucial contributions toward advancing Tsinghua's position among the world's leading universities. By actively exploring new paradigms in education and research, we have made remarkable contributions by addressing the needs of national strategic development and the economic growth of the local community.
While continuing to optimize cross-field disciplines, we proactively planned for the future development of Artificial Intelligence as a new direction at Tsinghua SIGS. As the faculty body grows, an increasing number of members have been recognized nationally and internationally through prestigious awards.
For student training, we launched the 'Dual-10 Strategy,' strengthening cooperation with renowned domestic and international enterprises, research institutions, and emerging science and technology parks to provide our students with the best experience and opportunities for growth and development.
For scientific research and technical innovation, we leveraged Tsinghua University's research capacity to address and solve the most challenging problems in the new phase of economic and social development in Shenzhen. In 2024, we secured several major research grants from national agencies and achieved outstanding results, with publications in prestigious journals such as Science and Nature.
In 2024, we also actively expanded our international cooperation and engagement. We strengthened our relationships with internationally renowned universities and research institutions. We successfully hosted multiple international conferences, including the 'International Conference on Energy Storage Materials,' the 'Annual Conference for the International Lipidomics Society,' and the 'International Forum on Advanced Health Engineering.' We successfully held the 'Hong Kong-Macao Symposium' again, contributing to the development of education, science, and the economy in Hong Kong and Macao.
Looking ahead to the Year 2025, we will continue to uphold the school motto of 'Self-discipline and Social Commitment,' with even greater enthusiasm and confidence, to advance the development of various endeavors at the school. We will continue to implement reforms in education and teaching, promote innovations in scientific research, and make even greater contributions to addressing national strategic development needs and the local economic and social development of Shenzhen.
