SIGS welcomes second wave of students back to campus

The second wave of Tsinghua SIGS students returned to campus on April 18^th.

Starting April 8^th, students across Shenzhen began returning to school using a phased approach. As of April 18^th, close to one thousand non-graduating SIGS students have been approved to return to campus. Students graduating this semester started returning to campus on April 11^th.

On April 18^th, officials from the Education Bureau of Shenzhen Municipality visited Tsinghua SIGS to inspect the return procedures, including how students enter campus, epidemic prevention and control procedures in the dorms, COVID-19 testing plans, etc.

Students returning to campus must undergo three days of health observation and daily COVID-19 testing. Eat-in dining is prohibited in the dining halls from April 18^th to April 21^st.

Hybrid classes began on April 20^th. In the classrooms, students and faculty are required to wear masks at all times and maintain social distancing.
